I went to the old family house a few days ago (some other relatives live there), and in the courtyard/atrium there was a GIANT green spider hanging out. We're talking about a spider nearly the size of the mouse you're holding just chilling 10 feet away from the Colombian equivalent of the living room sofa, with no glass window between them or anything.
In mostly unrelated news, I installed a net over my bed.

I hate to tell you, but if a spider of that caliber wants to eat you, that net won't even slow it down.
They must be saving the spider for dinner tomorrow night, let it fatten up a bit first.
