Success! mostly.

Coach: We have a game Sunday at 8:30 am. Be there at 8.
Me: The game STARTS at 830?
Coach: Yes.
Me: And I need to arrive at 8am?
Coach: Yes.
Me: Ok.

Sunday: I show up at 7:45am. Other players start showing up at 8:05am, except they’re not players from my team. Looks like two other teams are scheduled to play at 8:30. Their game gets canceled because 1 team only has 3 players. Players from my team start showing up at 8:40. Coach shows up at 8:50. Game starts at 9:20am. WTF.

At least we played though. There were 2 games scheduled for 8:30 am on the two courts and both were canceled due to lack of players. What I want to know is if the games at 8:30 hadn’t been canceled how would we have played at 9:20?
Anyway, we played four 10 minute quarters and won 49-39. I started at shooting guard and finished with 7 points (2/3 FGs, 3/5 FTs), 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 turnovers. Not terrible, but hopefully I’ll do better next time.

Of course, I also just hope we play next time. I talked to the tournament organizer for a while and apparently the forfeit rate is about 65%. Absolutely ridiculous.
