Morsilla de Pollo

Today I was in a taxi with Pilar, and she told me about Morsilla de Pollo, a Colombian delicacy wherein the head of a chicken is cleaned out, de-beaked, stuffed with rice and chicken, sewn shut, and then cooked. HOLY CRAP those things are ugly (click on the picture for a close-up). Anyway, when we got home from our cab ride, I took a picture.

Non-committal Spanish Response to Taxis:

Taxi drivers enjoy going on long, meandering monologues. Fortunately they frequently punctuate their monologues with “¿Sí o no?” Just say “Sí” every time, and you’re golden.
